My Students
My students are in seventh-grade at an intermediate school in Eastvale, California. My students come from diverse backgrounds and cultures. My students are truly amazing learners. My students strive to achieve their goals, regardless of their struggles. Our classroom motto is: "Be kind all the time!"
My students practice daily gratitude and mindfulness in our classroom, which helps them to focus.
My students are creative and thoughtful scholars. They absolutely love engaging projects which enable them to find inventive solutions. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!
My Project
All learners in my classroom need equitable instruction. Attention and focus can be difficult, particularly for middle school learners but there are many tools that help, such as Bouncybands, a portable whiteboard easel for collaboration, mindfulness activities, and books.
The most important part of our classroom is the use of mindfulness.
Each of the items chosen can be used for different aspects of mindfulness.
For example, while students are brainstorming writing ideas, they can keep their hands busy with a mindful mandala. Also, controlling the ability to relieve feelings of discomfort helps students perform better in class, be less tense and focus their attention when taking a test. Bouncybands are a great way for kids to be able to enjoy school, enjoy learning and perform at a higher level.
