I need funding to gain transformative SEL and mindfulness tools to support students and adults in my school community and become certified to teach trauma-informed, accessible yoga to young people and adults.
Through this 7 week virtual training, I will strengthen my physical, mental, and emotional resilience while gaining a certification to teach trauma-informed, accessible yoga and meditation practices to adults and young people, creating safe spaces for healing and growth.
My goals in completing this training are:
-Gain more SEL strategies to utilize to support students, families, and teachers through my role as an academic coach
-Build on my own mindfulness skills to help me be better at regulating my own emotional responses at work and at home but to also have more strategies and tools to help students, teachers, and families regulate their own emotions and build on their emotional wellness
-Provide Yoga and mindfulness classes in my building at no cost to them.
-Make mindfulness, social-emotional health, and physical wellness more accessible to others at CNHS
