I need funding to join a summer yoga training to bring SEL and mindfulness tools to integrate into our school to benefit teachers and students mental and physical health.
The project includes training from “Breathe for Change” for SEL, Mindfulness and Meditation, Yoga, and Social Change designed for teachers. The new resources I learn will be able to be adapted to individual needs, and will hopefully benefit students and teachers. The goal is to support students and teachers with their overall wellbeing by using Yoga and Meditation practices. Yoga is designed for all abilities, and practicing Yoga can build overall health, such as reducing stress, building strength/flexibility, and supporting positive mental health.
After completing the training, I would be able to host in-person and/or virtual sessions that allow students and/or teachers to focus on their own health and wellbeing.
I want to make mindfulness, social emotional health, and physical wellness more accessible to others at CNHS.
