Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My kinders make me laugh every day! They all come to school so excited and ready to learn. Our school has a great sense of community and involvement. We truly are a team and each student is part of family.
The learning gap is wide in Kindergarten, preschool vs no preschool, English speakers vs non English speakers, these are just a few examples of the differences my kiddos come to school with.
But, we all can identify in some way through stories. Pictures speak a million words.
My Project
Classroom Book A Day has been so much fun in my classroom. The kids are so excited to see the board each week with the titles we have shared throughout the year already. We have 125 books on our wall that are easily accessible for the students to pick up and reread with classmates.
I have chosen books that will remind my students to be mindful of their actions and to be the best person they know they can be!
All the books on our list will be be perfect additions to my ever growing classroom library. I know these books will be favorites for many classes to come.
