This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Summer toys play a significant role in supporting mental health and well-being, especially for children. Outdoor toys like bikes, water balloons, buckets, and beach balls encourage physical activity, which boosts mood and reduces stress by releasing endorphins. Creative toys such as chalk, bubbles, or building sets promote imaginative play, helping children express emotions and develop problem-solving skills.

Playing outside also fosters social interaction, which builds confidence and emotional resilience.

By combining fun with movement and creativity, summer toys create joyful experiences that enhance mental health and contribute to overall emotional and psychological well-being. My students come from the inner city and trips to the beach are often not possible but these toys will help us enjoy summer a bit more at home.
