My Project

Help me give my students the opportunity to explore mindful music through a diverse range of instruments, including sound healing tools, a violin bow, a cymbal, a caterpillar instrument, thumb piano, singing bowl, and a dynamic learning sphere. These specific items will enhance their social-emotional learning by fostering self-expression, encouraging collaboration, and promoting mindfulness through music and sound exploration.

The goals for this project are to cultivate emotional awareness, develop coping strategies, and strengthen interpersonal skills among students, helping them navigate their feelings and build resilience.

What makes these students special is their unique backgrounds since they come from military families that move around often, which contribute to a rich tapestry of perspectives that can be expressed and understood through the universal language of sound and music.
