My Project
As educators, parents, and members of the community, we are now starting to understand the importance of intentional movement, and purposeful breathwork and meditation for our learners.
To continue to support my students through their often stressful and multifaceted academic and social experiences, I will once again offer my Writing for Peace English elective that is focused on finding joy, encouraging mindfulness, developing breath, integrating meditative practices, and moving through some basic asanas, or poses in our Introduction to Yoga Unit.
With the availability of consistent, safe, and clean yoga mats, my learners will not only be able to experience theory, but practice, as well.
Through the access of personal mats, my amazing and unique high school students will gain the confidence, surety, and excitement necessary to attempt unfamiliar and vulnerable theories and practices.
