Mindful Moments: Breathing Tools for Student Wellness

Help me give my students sensory kits that enhance focus, regulation, and well-being, integrated into K-5 classrooms and Calming Corners through trauma-informed, PBIS-aligned strategies that nurture the whole child.

My Project

This project will provide K–5 students with rotating sensory kits designed to support emotional regulation, focus, and overall well-being. Integrated into our trauma-informed, PBIS-aligned approach, these tools will enhance classroom Calm Corners and reinforce small and whole group instruction on mindful breathing. In the wake of the post pandemic, many students face heightened anxiety and difficulty self-regulating. These sensory supports will help students manage emotions, build resilience, and remain engaged in learning, creating safer, more responsive classrooms that nurture both academic and emotional growth, increase student resilience, and promote wellness.
