Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At-risk youth face daily challenges that often affect their ability to focus, engage, and thrive in the classroom. To help create a calming and supportive learning environment, I am seeking donations for aromatherapy jewelry and essential oils. Aromatherapy has been shown to reduce stress and improve focus, and with wearable options like diffuser bracelets and necklaces, students can experience these benefits throughout their school day. A variety of scents will be available to the students, offering both calming and energizing effects that can help students manage their emotions, relieve anxiety, and improve attention.
These small but impactful tools will empower students to cultivate calmness and resilience, fostering an atmosphere where they feel more prepared and supported.
With your help, we can offer these students a practical resource to cope with stress, engage in learning, and build confidence in and out of the classroom.
As they show the use of the skills they are learning in their Strategies of Success class, they will be rewarded with a prize of their choice. Aroma therapy jewelry has been offered as a tangible reward with my other classes, and it was the first prize to run out! It has been proven to be a popular choice.
