This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love when students seek mental health support. Some students resist meditation because they are not directly involved in the practice. By allowing them the ability to use sound bowls they will more easily connect to the practice which will allow them to grow their mind body connection. The goal is to provide a space which students request when feeling stressed or disconnected which will them allow them to return to learning. I plan on using seating to disrupt expectations and provide an expectation for appropriate behavior during the session.
