This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These Chakra Singing Bowls will help my students from Middle school to Kindergarten on their journey to learning to be in the moment and restore balance to their bodies. My students have learned so much about mindfulness in our counseling lessons and restorative circles. I would love to help them really focus in the moment through the use of resounding vibrations and calming sounds. Many of my students come from traumatized backgrounds, yet they work hard to be resilient.

These Chakra Singing Bowls will help my students reduce their stress hormones, relax their minds, and help them to feel safer in their bodies.

Experiencing quiet space is a privilege my students rarely receive, but deserve so much. And they are ready for this next level experience with the singing bowls! My older students enjoy researching children’s mindfulness books to understand more about the practice and along with my younger students, they all have enjoyed various calming activities I offer. Adding Chakra singing bowls will only help them to get the most out of our mindfulness meditative learning journey.
