My Project

Financial Literacy begins at an early age. It's elementary; however, this foundational life skill opportunity is not always provided for our scholars. As a Special Education Resource Teacher, I will incorporate financial literacy lessons as I support scholars in developing their math and social behavioral skills.

Financial Literacy lessons will include budgeting, shopping, and distinguishing between needs and wants.

We will use the requested books and budgeting journals each week. Students will have an opportunity to budget and "shop" for items in our classroom store using a REWARDS program. Students will learn how money matters, focusing on the theme "Mind Your Money."
