This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In this project, students will explore the neuroscience behind mental health, focusing on how internal and external factors influence brain function and behavior. By examining the biology of mental wellness, students will gain insights into how the brain processes stress, emotions, and cognitive functions. The project will cover topics such as the impact of neurotransmitters, brain plasticity, and the role of external factors like environment, sleep, nutrition, and social interaction on mental health. Through research, discussions, and hands-on activities, students will develop strategies to promote mental wellness both individually and within their communities. The goal is to connect scientific understanding with real-world applications, empowering students to advocate for mental health awareness and develop habits that support overall brain health and emotional well-being. I want to provide for them different activities, including creating a clay brain model, and snacks as rewards.
