Mind and Motion: Active Brain Breaks on The Playground!

My Project

Our Second Grade Students are curious and hardworking. They are always striving to understand new concepts and engage with lessons. Their determination and resilience as they tackle new challenges every day is impressive.

To help our students continue to thrive, essential Brain Break recess equipment is requested to facilitate structured and unstructured brain Breaks on the playground.

We are asking for a variety of materials including soccer balls, footballs, volleyballs, chalk, bubbles, and jump ropes. We are hoping to make sure there is something for everyone to enjoy!

These breaks aren't just about fun; research shows that short bursts of physical activity and play significantly improve students' focus, attention, memory, and behavior when they return to the classroom.
