My Project

When learning to read it takes a lot of practice, just like learning anything new. To learn a sport or instrument you have to do the thing often.

It's not well understood the same intense practice is necessary to learn to read.

Reading will not improve if you don't do it often. That's where decodable books come in. They are carefully written to only include the phonics skills a child has learned so they can sound everything out.

Decodable books have come a long way and are now engaging with beautiful illustrations. These books are exactly what kids need to get the practice they need to become fluent readers by 3rd grade.

Ms. Fossler will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by July 23.
