We are a small rural school district. We work hard to provide opportunities for our students that meet all of their needs, both academically and socially-emotional.
All of my students have disabilities or need increased levels of academic support and they are absolutely incredible.
They come to my room for extra support or enrichment on top of their typical classes. These students don't let the increased work deter them. They continue to rise to daily challenges and benefit greatly from opportunities to connect their learning through various modalities.
My Project
My students are movers, they love the flexible furniture we've been fortunate enough to receive through DonorsChoose. I would love some floor rocking chairs for students to work in as well as an adjustable standing/sitting desk, and a set of stools.
My students come to me after 3 hours of straight instruction, I am their fourth, snacks will ensure they are able to keep going while also getting some fuel for their brain.
The weather droplet will connect perfectly into our weather unit. The Teachers Pay Teachers lessons will help me meet the needs of all my learners for Math and ELA. I have a variety of Academic Intervention Service students as well as students with Reading, Writing, and Math disabilities. These lessons as well as the Metaphor Dice, VersaTiles Small Group Literacy set, and Cold Case brain teasers will help me meet the needs of all my diverse learners.
Black light flashlights with batteries to power them will help with interactive review games.
Finally, various books like Pumpkinheads, Wires and Nerves, and Journal prompts will help meet the needs of my students who thirst for graphic novels and writing prompts.
