My Project

Thank you for taking the time to read about my project! My class is a mix of students from all walks of life. I work in a title 1 school that works hard to provide positive behavior incentives to our students and celebrate how unique each of our students are. But one thing is clear....students today have a difficult time focusing in the classroom.

I am a science teacher who loves to do hands on projects because its where I see my students thrive!

Unfortunately though there are times where we must focus on reading and writing. This is where your donation will MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE! The stools and cushions are for my small group who read text together and they can wiggle and get their energy out while being able to sit and focus. The bands will allow all the other students to "get the wiggles out" while staying seated and working.

Middle School students are often overlooked as not needing these types of tools because they are older, but this is farther from the truth. This is a crucial time for them socially and emotionally. If we can provide a way to help them stay focused on learning, then let's do it!
