Middle School Students Track Meet Equipment

Help me give my students sports equipment that will enhance their experience at the district track meet.

My Project

Our 6th grade students participate in our school districts track meet, by providing these items we will be able to adequately prepare our students and enhance their experience. For example: by providing softballs our students will get the opportunity to learn how to throw a softball. We will have an entire week that during our P.E. time we will dedicate our lesson towards teaching students the proper way to throw a baseball/softball. At our track meet our students participate in seeing how far they can throw a softball. By using this time to teach them we are giving them the opportunity to become better and have more confidence. We will also use the batons and cones to teach our students how to compete in a relay race. The track meet our students participate in has the students competing in multiple relay races and 100 yard dashes. Most of our students come from low in families where putting these students in sports is too much money for their parents. So a lot of the time these lessons are the first opportunity that our students have to learn about these sports they are interested in but unfortunately can't afford to participate in.

In today's society students are not participating in physical activity as much as in the past, the goal with these items is to help bring awareness to our students about physical education and their health.

We are striving to give our students every opportunity possible to set them up for a better future.

These 6th grade students are some of the most kind and considerate students I have ever had. My hope is that by providing these items it will benefit my students lives because most of my students don't have access to this type of equipment outside of school.
