My Project
Middle school math gets tricky for a lot of students. These are the years when the work gets more abstract and a lot of students start to think they aren't "math people." Even many higher-order learners have difficulty at times because they have to practice work now whereas in earlier grades they got by without too much effort. It's also the years that lead up to their first math Regents exam (Algebra I) which can potentially set the stage for their attitudes toward math for the rest of their lives.
Many of our students need differentiated materials to help organize and make sense of the math they are learning as well as make the material more interesting and relevant to them.
For this reason, I am requesting 3 TPT gift cards. These can be open-ended tasks that are "low floor and high ceiling" as well as organizers and graphics to help keep students engaged and work through problems.
Please consider helping out a wide range of learners in an ICT setting and help give them the confidence that math is for ALL learners.
