My Project

Willard Middle School's Industrial Arts program is one of a kind in a world where the emphasis is moving from trades based skills to classroom skills. I have been teaching students how to use skills in a trades based classroom that promotes hands on learning and life skills with projects that students take home and have value in.

I would like to start a foundry unit and need assistance with the limited funding that is provided to me each year.

A little boost will go a long way. The furnaces would be the largest expense in getting this unit up and running. Foundry is still prominent in our economy with many casting operations around the US.

The other items are crucial and expensive disposable materials that use a lot of my yearly budget. By having materials donated or provided, I am able to keep project cost low for students. Without these donations, the cost of many projects becomes a burden for many of the local families and unattainable to utilize.
