My Project

I teach health to middle school students from grades 5 through 8 at an inner city school. My students do many hands on projects in Health Class and the basic necessities are needed for the second half of the school year!

By providing my students with classroom essentials such as pencils, glue sticks, scissors, colored pencils, and folders, they will be able to create numerous projects related to improving upon their physical, mental, and social health.

Some of these projects including constructing a Lifesize Human Body with major organs, creating a Cyber Bullying Lapbook, and assembling an Island of Personalities Project.

My students are curious about Health related topics especially because they can directly relate to their day to day life. They ask the amazing questions and have such a great attitude despite all of the hardships they may have faced in the past. The majority of my students are from low income households and would greatly benefit from these basic classroom needs!
