Middle School Esports POWER UP- Start UP!

Help me give my students Nintendo Switch consoles (along with games and SanDisk cards) to start up an esports program that will be accompanied with curriculum that will focus on teamwork, critical thinking, etc and provide a pathway to STEM based careers.

My Project

In my Pathways class, students learn the four C's of 21st century skills (Communication, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, and Creativity). We have many students that receive additional help with executive functioning skills.

Our school is looking to begin an eSports team.

Using esports as a digital framework creates a new pathway for students from diverse backgrounds to experience science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in an engaging way. Teaching college and career readiness skills such as communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving, through Gaming Concepts courses will guide students to explore careers and learn skills they will need beyond high school.
