Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a special education teacher who teaches mostly students with intellectual disabilities in a middle school setting. They love to have stories read to them and do art projects. Most are non verbal and can’t read by themselves. We do try to teach simple high frequency words. We also do art projects to work on fine motor skills. We strive to give our students independence and help them enjoy coming to school. It is a closed classroom and they leave for electives such as music. Thanks for helping my students have an enjoyable year!
