My Project
Holding book clubs during middle school library classes is a powerful way to support student literacy, critical thinking, and social development. This project is to get sets of books to incorporate book clubs into a semester in the middle school classes library class.
By integrating book discussions into the school day, all students regardless of background or reading level have the opportunity to engage with literature in a structured yet relaxed environment.
These book clubs encourage students to explore diverse perspectives, express their ideas, and build confidence in sharing their thoughts with peers. They also make reading more enjoyable by turning it into a shared experience, which can foster a lifelong love of books.
Additionally, the library setting reinforces that reading is not just an academic task, but a valuable and enriching part of everyday life.
