Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year brings about a new change for me: a new school and new grade level! My class is made up of 21 students from a variety of backgrounds. I have students from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and various parts of the U.S. Fifth grade is an exciting time, and each of my students brings something new and creative to offer to our class community.

The school itself sits in a neighborhood that is considered historic and is home to many ESL families.

Our school is a Title I community that desires to serve and grow our students.

My Project

It is that time of year where rewards are running low, and we are in need of a new supply of various items. Students have requested candy and chip options to earn as rewards for hard work.

Multiplication flash cards will help students practice to learn or firm up multiplication facts and become masters.

New books will be added to our library also at their requests and can be displayed on our white board using the magnetic spice racks!

It is always nice to be able to reward hard work and great character, but it is hard to keep things in stock!
