Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are kids full of energy and curiosity for new things and subjects. 90% of my classroom's first language is Spanish, and they learn all the subject areas in Spanish and English. In fourth grade students learn both languages, and they need to be proficient in both languages by the end of the school year. They love arts and crafts, sports, and science.
My kids come from an immigrant neighborhood, and I share a lot of the same traditions and culture as they do.
Teaching is something that I enjoy and love.
My goal this year to implement art, social studies, and science in everything we learn. As their teacher I need to work hard to motivate and energize my students to take the learning process in a serious way. Students learn so many things when there is a good use of classroom resources and lessons.
My Project
As the months progress during the school year, our resources are starting to be limited. We need more materials for the rest of the school year, and the list of materials that I am asking are items that we no longer have in stock in my school and/or classroom. Items such as pencils, wipes, glue,post-it notes and paper are always been used in my classroom.
My students and I will need the school supplies to work on projects such as science fair, writing essays and interactive notebooks.
We have 4 more months to go till the end of the school year, and with your support my students can continue learning and they would not have to worry about purchasing these items for the class.
