This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are passionate about media. They love telling stories and are currently producing a weekly school broadcast. They have been doing audio with a couple of old donated microphones, and/or using their cell phones to record audio. I am sure they would love to have higher quality equipment. (Microphones and cameras)

My Project

I have a group of very creative students who created a Media Club at the beginning of the Fall 2021 semester. Students are taking time from their busy schedules to participate in this project. Because of the pandemic, and distance learning, they saw the need to tell stories that would help connect our school community.

Our students are learning how to record and edit audio and video.

However, the audio quality of their work is not great. Improved mics will help them produce high-quality work, with audio that will match their enthusiasm and goals.
