My students are always full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day, even though a majority of them come from a difficult home-life.
I teach at a Title I school in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students receive food from Backpack Buddies on the weekend, and our school also provides multiple opportunities for the families to get basic things they could not afford on their own. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
Your donations will provide a Microsoft Surface Go and accessories for my students and future students to use in the creation of technology-based projects that can be entered into our local Technology Fair. Digital Learning plays an integral part in our students' academics and when students have these tools in their hands, they can let their creativity soar!
Students in Horry County have the opportunity to participate in a Technology Fair every year, and with this tool, I plan to work with groups of students to create projects that can be entered in to compete at the Tech Fair.
The Microsoft Surface Go gives students in my area a new experience as most students at my school are unable to afford such luxuries. I am looking forward to giving them this amazing opportunity, and it can only be done with your help!
