My Students
I teach in a high needs school in Brooklyn, NY. My students come from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Despite these differences, my students give their all to be sure they understand any topic that is given to them.
My classes consist of gifted students, general education students, special education students and English language learners.
In my classes, we are always exploring. I try to incorporate as much technology as possible. Students are able to use laptops to complete online simulations, webquests, and research information on their own.
My Project
A Microsoft Surface Go will help students document the various activities done in science class. For example, they will be able to record lab experiments or create video projects to demonstrate their understanding. They will also be able to learn how to use the Office Suite, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
In science, we use online simulations to explore topics that we do not always have access to in the classroom, such as the solar system or center of the Earth.
The Surface Go will help students engage with these simulations. The accessories will help students to fully engage with the Surface Go. The Surface Pen will help students to take digital notes, create drawings, and interact with the content online. This will allow them to annotate articles, view digital slideshows, and create their own as well. The keyboard and mouse will help students when they would like to use the Surface Go as more of a laptop, where they will be able to type and use the mouse to support their learning.
