My Students

My students are a bright and lively bunch of 3rd - 5th graders. These kids truly thrive when engaged in learning activities that challenge and encourage them to think outside of the box. They are hard workers and motivated to explore new ways of learning

I teach in a Title I school with about 98% free and reduced lunches.

My students rarely travel outside of our very rural home area, thus to a degree limiting the life experiences and changing perspectives that help to foster growth mindset in their learning.

My Project

I am seeking funding to provide a Microsoft Surface Go Computer to be used by my students in the classroom. The compact size and portability of the Microsoft Surface Go will allow my students to learn through several new experiences that range from operating a drone outdoors to creating an image they imagine and seeing it come to life through their command from the computer to a 3-D printer.

The Microsoft Surface Go will connect easily to our 3D printer and let my students hold their creations in their hands.

This technology will also​ give them a hand held word processor as a fun new way to enhance their digital learning skills.

As their teacher, it is my passion and goal to expand their horizons, experiences, and opportunities for growth in learning to the very best of my abilities. By adding the exciting technology of the Microsoft Surface Go to their learning tool bag, I can move my students further towards that goal. The classroom possibilities with this computer are unlimited and having it will help me inspire my students to have that vein of creative thinking....limitless!!
