Help me give my students science tools to help them see just how amazing each little thing really is!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Clift's classroom raised $508

My Students
Our 3rd Grade class is part of a community school serving 400 students in a large inner city school district that serves almost 10,000 students.
Our student population is very diverse and comes to us from all over the globe with over 27 languages spoken in our district!
We serve a population of students that has a wide range of needs from severely behind to needing challenges to push to the next level. However, the majority (80%) of our students fall into the category of behind below grade level in reading.
As a community school we work to surround the WHOLE child with support by serving the local community and families as well as the student.
My Project
Using these microscopes will help us study plants, bees and pollen, and chemical reactions by allowing us to see more details of what we are learning about.
We have inquisitive science minds in our room.
We LOVE our science and math time. Students will often chose to use their indoor recess time (which we have a lot of!) to continue their math stations or exploring their science topics.
As we study our plant, bees, chemical reactions and more, we always wonder what these things look like up close. Zooming in on a picture doesn't satisfy this curiosity. But zooming in with our new microscopes and being able to capture those images digitally will bring those little bee bums and pollen and the different shapes of the crystals in our chemicals to life in a whole new way.
