This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are very enthusiastic learners who are self-motivated to explore all areas of science. As part of our curriculum, we study cells, but our microscopes and related study equipment are from the 1970s! With updated microscopes, students will learn how to prepare slides and have hands-on experience. This encourages and fosters independent thinking and creativity as they learn how to work with state-of-the-art educational equipment.
As we push forward from the horrendous Eaton Fire, students need to return to routine and stability to ensure a well-rounded education in the very important scientific discipline.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
