Our garden club and homeroom class has already learned how to plant, care for and harvest microgreens. Our new goal is to share our genius with others we know, such as our families, friends and the community. Students will develop leadership skills by synergizing in collaborative groups to find successful ways to grow microgreens and strategies to use or learn from.
The experiences we have using the microgreen garden will help us to reflect on the importance of appreciating the food we eat.
This project will be a continuance of the local and global issues we have learned about this year, including food insecurity in our community.
The seeds will support continuing our previous project with more seeds that we need. The items we need are the speckled pea seeds. Each material is essential to a successful harvest.
