Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I have the best students in New Orleans. Most of my students qualify for a free lunch program. The majority of my students have lagged behind because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and are functioning below grade level. My school is the safest place and I need to ensure their progress. I wish for them to succeed, and to be on top of their game. I have the best job in the world, to make a difference for my students who are disadvantaged and need to feel successful!

We need BBC micro-bit v2 Club Pack (10x) a coding micro-bit for having Fun at school while learning basic coding for STEM

We will be excited to learn to fully participate and learn how to do science and math, and succeed in school while being ready for the challenges ahead and being able to compete with a leveled playing field.

It is important for developing early concepts, as many students lag on basic math and science skills during virtual learning. I wish to encourage students' participation during these stressful times. These STEM coding materials are going to be used daily to keep students engaged. They are going to be great resources for in-person learning where all students will be participating as a group and learning!
