My Project

Our school uses chromebooks with trackpads. Unfortunately the trackpads are not easy to use to manipulate many of the tools and programs the students use on a daily basis. I have tried using their chromebooks myself to complete click and drag processes and have found it challenging. If I, as an adult struggle with this, I can only imagine how challenging it is for kids let alone kids who might have difficulty with fine motor skills. The way that the world is moving students are using computers more and more for classwork and always for state tests. These tests don't allow for students to get help manipulating the trackpad. They are completely on their own. I'd like to give students the ability to focus more on answering the questions than on how to drag something across the page into a box using a trackpad. Physical mice will help them to accomplish this.

I hope you will help us with this so that our upcoming school year will be more successful and a tiny bit less stressful.
