This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom has a mixture of children from different socioeconomic backgrounds, and a wide variety of diverse learning needs and styles. We are a Title I school and many of our students come from families who struggle financially or face adversity in their everyday lives. Despite the challenges, my students are filled with energy, are hard-working, and are motivated to learn.

My Project

My students are doing more and more detailed work on their Chromebooks. They have assignments that are created as a "Drag & Drop" activity. Other assignments require them to create text boxes and move items within their work pages. This is not an easy task for most children. The frustration levels cause many to stop working and lose interest in completing their work altogether. Having a mouse that they can use daily will increase their productivity and increase their confidence in being able to complete their work without asking for assistance.
