My Project

My AP Literature class -- in a high poverty West Baltimore neighborhood -- has been steadily growing and is starting to show more success on the AP test. Every year, Kafka's Metamorphosis is the first novel we read. Students absolutely love the novel. Unfortunately, a catastrophic flood in our school last year destroyed literally ALL of the novels in my classroom. We're starting from scratch.

Having this translation (the best, most student friendly translation) in my room in time for students to engage with it is going to be fundamental for recovering from the flood.

Our reading of this book creates great discussion, writing, and an end of unit creative project that students generally have a great time with.
