This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sound healing has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while promoting relaxation, focus, and emotional balance. Many children growing up in unstable environments face numerous challenges that impact their emotional well-being and academic development. As a certified sound healer, I would love to offer META MORNINGS as a safe and non-invasive way for children at my Title 1 school to process their emotions and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

In order to fully implement sound healing as an option for students feeling big emotions, we are in need of some instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, drums, and a gong.

These instruments will allow me to conduct group sound healing/"Meta Morning" sessions for students who would like to participate. I feel this offering would provide a safe space for students to ground and calm themselves, which will then directly (and positively) impact their behavior at school and their ability to focus on their academics.

Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children, offering them an outlet for healing. Together, we can create a brighter future for children who have experienced instability, trauma, and adversity :)
