Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have the privilege to work with some amazing students that put forth the effort to succeed every day. There is an overwhelming majority of the students at my school that come from low-socioeconomic households that do not have the means to provide all the needed supplies. These students have a lot of important things going on in their lives and I would love to be able to remove some of the burden by them not having to worry about some of their school supplies.
I would ask you to imagine what it was like the first time you got to use a dry erase marker and then picture what it is like to see these kids work math with that same level of excitement.
I am extremely passionate about the success of my students and when I find something that works, I stick with it. Please help us stick with it for this next school year.
