This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With upcoming state tests around the corner, my awesome 7th graders are in the midst of spiraling previously taught content and learning new math content! From independent practice to group work, students love to show what they know! What better way to show what you know than on your desk? Yes, I allow my students to write on their desks with Expo markers.
Having Expo markers and wipes accessible during our math lessons motivates students to take on math problems.
One student made a point and said “Scrap paper has too much going on. I can wipe my desk clean and start a new problem without distractions!”
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
