My Project

My students are dedicated learners who are choosing to spend their summer sharpening their academic skills. Their commitment to growth shows just how determined they are to succeed. I want to honor that dedication by giving them tools that make learning engaging, meaningful, and fun.

Interactive notebooks help students retain math concepts by turning learning into a creative, personal experience.

With composition notebooks that have grid lines, my students will be able to build interactive math notebooks that organize their thinking and give them a resource to refer back to all summer long. The grid lines are especially helpful for fourth graders as they practice aligning numbers, drawing models, and solving problems with precision.

To support this, we’ll use sponges, glue, and containers to create glue sponges. These allow students to quickly and neatly attach foldables, charts, and notes to their notebooks without the mess of bottles or the waste of glue sticks. Glue sponges hold materials securely and make it easier for students to stay focused on the learning rather than the cleanup.

These resources will help my students make the most of their summer learning time and keep them engaged in math in a hands-on, structured way.
