This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a Title I school located in Greenville, S.C. We are committed to supporting our students in every way possible, recognizing that meeting their basic needs is essential for their success both in and out of the classroom. To this end, we have recently initiated a Care Closet at our school. This vital resource is designed to assist our families by providing everyday necessities that they might otherwise struggle to obtain. Our goal is to stock the Care Closet with essential items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, bath towels, combs, and other personal care products.

At our elementary school, we firmly believe in addressing the needs of the whole child.

We understand that students cannot fully engage in their education or reach their potential if their basic needs are unmet. By ensuring that our students and their families have access to these essential items, we hope to create a supportive environment where every child can thrive.

This will make a significant difference in the lives of our students and their families.
