My Project

Sensory items and spaces dedicated to aid emotional regulation are essential tools for individuals who experience sensory processing challenges, meaning their brains process sensory information (like sounds, sights, touch, and smells) differently. Sensory items and rooms provide a calm, controlled environment with specific tools to help regulate these senses. This can significantly reduce anxiety, improve focus, and enhance learning, allowing students to better engage in their education. I am an Affective Needs Special Education teacher that is passionate about helping my students access their education and creating an environment that makes them feel safe and ready to learn.
