My Students

My students are four-year-olds from low-income families and will be going to kindergarten next year. Many of them are from single-parent households and do not have a working parent, and many have siblings. Many of them live in apartments and do not get much time outside. They travel to our school on a bus. They spend their day with us and eat breakfast, lunch, and snacks at school. They love to be hugged and appreciated. They love school. They love to learn. I try to give them the best education I can with learning, laughter, and lots of love.

My Project

My students are from lower income homes. They do not have books at home that they can read. For Christmas I would like to give them books and pop its which are some of their favorite things.

The book Groovy Joe Dinosaurs and Ice Cream is their favorite story and they can read it on their own.

They want to read this book daily. They also love the No David series and I would love to be able to give each one of them a copy of both books to have at home and read to their families.
