This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students strive for success. Some travel long distances at early hours to seize the opportunity to work one-on-one with a teacher. My students certainly have the ambition to carry them towards their dreams, though sometimes stumble due to a distinct asymmetry in their access to resources.
My Title I students bring an awesome array of backgrounds, ethnicities, and experiences and work collaboratively to address opportunities to succeed in school.
We are a school that speaks many languages and appreciates and honors the myriad members of our surrounding community.
My Project
Thankfully, our administration is as supportive as can be in allowing teachers to access the building at early hours to meet the students that need extra support. Not all students, however, can make the long trip at such early hours, or stay later than the close of school, to receive extra assistance and tutoring help.
A subscription to Mentored would make available the support that public school students NEED and DESERVE as citizens within our system. One-on-one academic support is something that all children deserve, and is something that can help some of my struggling student strive.
Sessions accessed through mentored will give my students a tailored resolution to their misunderstandings.
This is certainly among the more caring, productive, and supportive systems to bring to a classroom. Thank you for making this a possibility in the lives of my students.
