Help me give my students the opportunity to create robots through the LEGO Spikeset and create jams and fizzing drinks so they can experience a variety of different hands-on activities as part of my STEM club.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Wright's classroom raised $1,091

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is a Title I school with a heavy newcomer student population. Many of our students are English language learners who are excited to find ways to interact with STEM projects.
STEM Club is designed to allow newcomers to experience skills and ideas that they previously have not been exposed to.
Since creating robots from LEGO kits does not require everyone to speak the same language, I believe these robotics kits can serve as a way to a foster a strong community and connection between my new comer students. This fostering of community will in turn help with mental health and give my students an outlet to be creative.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
