it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are excited to learn math on a daily basis, but it would be helpful to make math fun through games. I am fortunate to see them every day during our 8 class block schedule. One day they have math class and the other day they have IB Design where they work on projects, have time to work on HW for other classes, and math support time.
Playing math games will help their mental health and promote collaboration.
This will also give them a break from IXL and worksheets during math support time. We also play online math games but there is something special about playing traditional games that are not digital that truly captures the attention of players so they are more engaged and involved. They will build better relationships while practicing mental math skills.
