This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Attendance in school is closely linked to students' mental health. When students face mental health challenges, it can significantly affect their motivation and ability to attend classes regularly. To support students, it’s essential to provide Resources. We already offer students access to mental health resources, such as counseling services and support groups. We will use the donation as an incentive during the counseling group to engage their participation and so they can be present during this work.
Also develop strategies to identify students at risk of absenteeism due to mental health issues and provide targeted support.
Maintain open lines of communication between teachers, parents, and mental health professionals to monitor and address attendance issues proactively.
By prioritizing mental health support, schools can improve attendance rates and help students thrive both academically and personally. As our students are always asking for snacks when visiting counselor's office or any other offices, we would like to use this donation as a token of appreciation for student openness and interactions during each session.
