This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In an innovative approach to supporting the mental health of students with special educational needs, classes are integrating outdoor activities into their curriculum, promoting both environmental stewardship and personal well-being. By stepping out of the traditional classroom setting, students engage in meaningful tasks such as recycling and cleaning local areas, which fosters a sense of accomplishment and responsibility.

These activities not only provide a refreshing break from the usual routine but also enhance social interaction and teamwork.

As a reward for their efforts, students enjoy a snack together, class karaoke, which reinforces positive behavior and encourages a sense of community.

This approach not only benefits the environment but also supports the mental and emotional well-being of students, creating a more inclusive and supportive learning experience. The materials that are being request will help organize classroom materials, the plastic, glass, and cans throughout 3 different classrooms. Recycle bins will be placed outside each building to collect.
