Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We are a Title I, low-income school. They all have overcome struggles that are both known and unknown to us, their counseling staff. Our department really wants to help promote good mental health practices and awareness for our kids. We aspire to help them master their mental health and learn coping mechanisms that can support them throughout their life! We are utilizing shirts to make mental health matters shirts and decorate them for a fun stress relief activity! The other supplies such as the journals and fidgets are to give them for mindfulness and stress relief! If anyone could help support us to providing our students with resources to help them relax and take some time for themselves we would all be so thankful!
